About the study
The town is carrying out a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment to identify erosion risks, define erosion hazards, and develop preferred options to mitigate erosion for the East Morrison Creek.
This study will follow the planning and design process as defined in the Municipal Engineers Association Municipal Class Environmental Assessment document (October 2000, as amended in 2007, 2011, 2015, and 2023) as a Schedule B project.
Study area
The study area extends from the Morrison-Wedgwood diversion channel, directly east of Oakville Town Hall, upstream to the culvert at Postridge Drive. This area of concern was identified in the 2021 Creek Inventory and Assessment Study.
