About the study
To prepare for future growth and address the evolving mobility needs of the community, the town is creating a transportation plan in two stages of work – through the Urban Mobility and Transportation Study (UMTS) and an update to the town’s Transportation Master Plan (TMP).
The UMTS, was first presented to Council at the February 15, 2022 Special Planning and Development Council meeting. Town staff are now conducting public consultations to educate the community about the UMTS and gather feedback.

Next steps
In fall 2023, staff will bring forward a staff report to Council, including a summary of feedback collected through the consultation process to inform Council on the UTMS for approval.
The UMTS and direction from Council will guide the update to the town’s Transportation Master Plan, the second phase of development to establish a comprehensive transportation plan for the community.
