Playing Sports on Town Streets

Balancing healthy activity with safety priorities for residents, pedestrians and vehicle passengers.

Recognizing the health and social benefits of outdoor, active play, Town Council voted in favour of lifting the existing ban on sports activities from town streets in September 2024.

The town is now preparing detailed guidelines to balance the health benefits while keeping safety a priority for residents, pedestrians and vehicle passengers and is seeking public input.

All input collected will be considered by the town before the draft guidelines are brought to Council for approval in June 2025.
