Notice of pesticide use to control aphids in 2025

The Town of Oakville intends to control aphids in annual flower display beds, hanging baskets and planters along the following roadsides:

• Lakeshore Road, Church Street, Robinson Street, Dunn Street, Reynolds Street, Navy Street, Thomas Street, Allan Street, Randall Street, Trafalgar Road, Kerr Street, Bronte Road, East Street, Nelson Street, Jones Street, John Street, Speers Road and Marine Drive within the Town of Oakville      
• Using the pesticide Safer's Insecticidal Soap (Registration Number 14668) registered under the Pest Control Products Act (Canada), containing the active ingredient Soap (potassium salts of fatty acids)
• Applications will occur on an as-needed basis commencing on June 2, 2025, weather permitting, and ending October 3, 2025
