Oakville Youth Awards nominees announced: Celebrating Oakville’s inspiring youth

Over 100 youth change-makers to be honoured May 7 for leadership, creativity and community impact

The Town of Oakville, in partnership with the Oakville Youth Action Committee (OYAC) and the Halton Muslim Youth Association, is proud to announce the nominees for the 2025 Oakville Youth Awards. More than 100 exceptional youth will be recognized for their meaningful and lasting contributions to the Oakville community.

This year’s celebration will take place on Wednesday, May 7, at the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts. Featuring live music, engaging presentations and inspiring stories, the event promises to be an unforgettable evening. 

The awards ceremony will be live streamed for friends and family who are unable to attend in person. Each nominee will receive a certificate of recognition, and category winners—two in each age group across the six award categories—will be honoured on stage.

This event will cap off the town’s National Youth Week, celebrated annually from May 1-7. During this week, Oakville youth can participate in free activities, events, and learning opportunities.
