The Town of Oakville is now accepting applications for the 2025 Community Activation Grant, which provides funding for community-driven initiatives that bring neighbours together and strengthen local engagement.
Now in its second year, the program offers grants of up to $1,000 to support residents, informal groups and neighbourhood associations in organizing initiatives that build relationships and foster a sense of community belonging. As part of the 2025 budget, Town Council allocated $35,000 in annual funding to continue supporting these impactful community projects.
Residents, ad-hoc groups, and community organizations planning small-scale initiatives that enhance well-being are encouraged to apply. Applications should be submitted online at least two months before the initiative date and will be evaluated based on their impact on community belonging and alignment with program criteria.
This initiative aligns with Town Council’s strategic priority to strengthen community belonging, ensuring all residents feel welcome, engaged and connected in a thriving community.
With limited funding available, early applications are strongly encouraged. Eligible grants are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
