Starting June 14, 2024, a portion of Burloak Drive between Harvester/Wyecroft Roads and Prince William Drive/ Superior Court will be closed, reopening on June 24.
- The road closure will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 14 through to 6:30 a.m. on Monday, June 24.
- The road will be completely closed, except from 3 to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday (June 17 to 21), when it will be open for southbound traffic only. The intersection of Burloak Drive and Prince William Drive will remain open to traffic during the closure.
- A signed detour route in the area will be in place during the closure. Oakville Transit Route 14/14A Lakeshore West will also detoured as this this segment of Burloak Drive will not be accessible by public transit (including care-A-van).
To support the increase in GO Service, Metrolinx is working with the City of Burlington and the Town of Oakville to build the grade separation (separation of the road from the rail corridor) at Burloak Drive.
As part of the project, the 10-day road closure is required to complete track relocation and the construction of temporary rail lines and level crossing that are needed before work to build the grade separation can begin.
