Study overview
The Town of Oakville has initiated a study in the Saville Neighbourhood Area to identify drainage deficiencies, explore opportunities for stormwater system improvements, and develop preferred options to improve drainage, while aligning any future works with the planned Halton Region sanitary sewer and watermain improvement project.
The broader study area runs from the CN Rail line on the north-west to Lake Ontario on the south-east. This public information centre (PIC) focuses on the study area north of Rebecca Street (immediate study area) as it aligns with Halton Region’s future works area.
Process
This study is being undertaken as a Schedule B project under the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) Process, approved under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act. As part of the EA process, public engagement is undertaken to review project problems/opportunities, define existing conditions, review alternative solutions, and identify preliminary preferred alternative solutions.
