Oakville Transit service changes: New Route 37 coming to north Oakville September 1

Monday, August 19, 2024

On September 1, 2024, Oakville Transit will be introducing Route 37 Glenorchy, a new fixed route that will serve neighbourhoods in north Oakville, replacing the existing Route 5A.

Route 37 will provide additional transit coverage for areas east and west of Trafalgar Road, north of Dundas Street, and will operate seven days a week, making connections at the Uptown Core Terminal as well as connecting with Route 5 at Dundas Street and Neyagawa Boulevard.

Also beginning on September 1, service frequency for Route 5 will increase.

Customers are also reminded that Ride On-Demand North Oakville is now a permanent service and is available seven days a week during service operating hours (except statutory holidays). Ride On-Demand is a curb-to-curb shared-ride service allowing customers to travel from one address to another and to transit hubs in the designated zone, with trips booked via the Oakville Transit On-Demand mobile app.
