Join the Town of Oakville this summer for free Movies in the Park starting July 10

Summer is almost here and the Town of Oakville is excited to present Movies in the Park! Starting on July 10, 2024 residents are invited to grab a blanket, their favourite snacks and head to participating parks in Oakville for a series of free family-friendly movies under the stars until August 21, 2024. Entry and family-friendly activities begin at 6:30 p.m. with the movie beginning around 8 p.m. closer to sunset. Come early to ensure you get a good spot to watch the main feature, have a chance to connect with friends and neighbours, visit the Oakville Public Library’s Library on the Go book bike, and meet Sparky and Oakville Fire crews at most park locations (with the exception of Munn’s Creek Park) to learn about how to be fire safe.

- Wednesday, July 17: Homeward Bound, Oakville Trafalgar Park, 325 Reynolds St.
- Wednesday, July 24: Matilda, Sixteen Hollow Park, 2140 Westoak Trails Blvd.
- Wednesday, July 31: Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Munn’s Creek Park, 153 River Oaks Blvd W.
- Wednesday, August 7: E.T., Forster Park, 100 North Forster Park Dr.
- Wednesday, August 14: Shrek, Fowley Park, 106 Fowley Dr.
- Wednesday, August 21: The Parent Trap, Valleybrook Park, 1150 Valleybrook Dr.

Inclement weather
In the event of inclement weather, like rain and thunderstorms, Movies in the Park may be moved to an indoor location. Follow the town on X, Instagram or Facebook for updates or visit the Movies in the Park page.
Parking is limited at some of the park locations so please plan ahead. The town encourages residents to walk or bike to the movie screening in your area or take Oakville Transit.
