Expressions of interest for concession space licenses at QEPCCC and/or River Oaks Community Centre

The Town of Oakville is pursuing a public opportunity to license concession space in the Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre (QEPCCC) and/or River Oaks Community Centre to a vendor that is interested in operating a concession service business. Expressions of interest (EOI) will be accepted for both or either of the venues.

The license fee for this agreement shall follow the 2023 commercial license rate approved by Council, being $24.52 (including tax) per square foot. The license agreement(s) will be the town’s standard form agreement, subject to any agreed upon minor amendments. 

The premises at QEPCCC has an area of 900.2 square feet. that results in a license fee for the space of $1,839.41 per month including taxes and all utilities. The premises at River Oaks Community Centre has an area of 271 square feet that results in a license fee for the space of $553.74 per month including taxes and all utilities.

Deadline for submissions is July 5, 2023

A written proposal outlining how candidates intend to operate their business from the Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre and/or River Oaks Community Centre concession space(s) while suggesting why their company is most suitable to partner with the Town of Oakville for this opportunity must be provided no later than July 5, 2023, to be considered.

The town anticipates awarding a contract to the successful vendor shortly after completing its evaluations of the written submissions. However, each respondent acknowledges and agrees that the town is under no obligation to proceed further with this investigation after receiving responses, and that under no condition will any respondent receive payment of any kind for submitting information in response to this EOI.
