Notice of Intention to Pass Amending By-law to Remove a Holding Provision on Lakeshore and Bronte

Planning and Development Council meeting will be held on Monday, August 14, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. in-person and by videoconference broadcast from the Council Chamber inside Town Hall located at 1225 Trafalgar Road. Instructions on how to view the meeting or participate in-person, by written submission, videoconference or telephone are provided below.

The subject lands are located at the southeast corner of Lakeshore Road West and Bronte Road

The “H” symbol shall, upon application by the landowner, be removed by Town Council passing a By-law under Section 36 of the Planning Act. The purpose of the application is to remove the "H1" Holding Provision as the following conditions have been satisfied:
  1. That sufficient water and wastewater services are available to the satisfaction of the Regional Municipality of Halton and the Town of Oakville.
  2. The owner has entered into any required servicing agreement(s) with the Town regarding stormwater management. 
  3. The completion of detailed design drawings required for the construction of road and infrastructure improvements. 
  4. Registration on title of an agreement between the owner and the Town with respect to the road and infrastructure improvements. This agreement shall also address security and advancing of funds, or a letter of credit for the full cost of the road and infrastructure improvements. 
  5. The registration on title of a Section 37 Agreement per the Planning Act. 
  6. All required land conveyances have been undertaken.
The removal of the “H” Holding Provision is a mechanism to ensure that the above condition is fulfilled prior to the development of the lands in accordance with the approved Zoning, and as such, there are no third party rights of appeal on the removal of the Holding provision.

Any submission to the Planning and Development Council, either in hard copy or in electronic format, must be forwarded to the Clerk’s department for receipt no later than noon on August 14, 2023, to ensure its availability to the Members of Council at the meeting. Individuals wishing to make an oral submission at the meeting must contact the Clerk’s Department prior to the meeting to register as a delegation and to obtain instructions on how to participate in the meeting. Requests must be made no later than noon August 14, 2023, by email to: TownClerk@Oakville.ca or call 905-815-6015. Requests to delegate will not be processed during the meeting.
