Public input invited for North Oakville commercial and retail opportunities
Wednesday, September 13, 2023
To improve ease of access to retail and commercial services in the northeast part of Oakville, the town has launched an online public survey to seek feedback about residents’ shopping patterns and experiences. This is part of the town’s North Oakville East Commercial Study which aims to gain a comprehensive understanding of current and future commercial needs in North Oakville. The survey is open to all residents and visitors to Oakville.
The study area is focused on the lands north of Dundas Street, south of Highway 407, west of Ninth Line and east of Sixteen Mile Creek.
Commercial needs are wide-ranging and include grocery stores, retail stores, health services, professional services and other shops that meet people’s daily needs. The feedback collected will help inform the study recommendations around the quantity, scale, location and type of commercial spaces needed to serve the growing community.
