Help the town improve by-law reference and search tool

If you have ever looked up any of Oakville’s by-laws, such as fireworks, parking, zoning, or others, the town needs your help. Through an online survey available until July 17, 2023, members of the public can provide input to help improve the ease of searching, accessing and using by-law information.
This includes most commonly searched by-laws available on the Popular By-laws page, and an advanced search and indexing tool for a more detailed search.
All feedback collected through the survey will be used to improve the access and use of by-laws on the town’s website.
Town by-laws are in place to provide up-to-date information on what’s allowed, prohibited or exempted on a number of matters that help keep our growing community safe and enjoyable. By-law information is used by residents, businesses, vendors, researchers, investors, community groups and more.
