Family friendly activities offered during November and December
Get into the holiday spirit at the Oakville Museum with the following special activities, programs and outdoor attractions offered in November and December!
Pre-registration is required for some events so be sure to sign up soon or yule be sorry you missed out. Our Visit with Santa and Craft and Tour programs are already full!
Basic knitting workshops
Make a cozy holiday gift for a loved one or knit something nice to keep for yourself at the museum’s scarf workshop on November 22 and 29 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Pre-registration is required to participate.
Walking in a winter wonderland
Experience the grandeur of a Victorian Christmas on the grounds of Erchless Estate which will be beautifully decorated for the holiday season starting December 1.
The museum is open for guided tours Tuesday to Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. General admission by donation.
Window dressing
Take a peek at the Oakville Museum front window display depicting Hollywood icons such as Joan Crawford and Ava Gardner donning their most elegant and festive attire for inspiration on a holiday outfit. The glamorous costumes and accessories featured are from the museum’s artifact collection.
Heritage Christmas Tour
Take part in a special Christmas tour on Saturday, December 16, 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., or 3 to 4 p.m. The guided tour features the elegant Erchless Estate and a featured historical exhibit. Pre-registration required.
