Notice of Adoption
On Monday, November 1, 2021, Town Council passed By-law 2021-128, which adopted Official Plan Amendment 41, under section 17(23), of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.13, as amended. Council’s decision reflects that they have considered all the written and oral submissions relating to this matter and that those comments have been appropriately addressed.
The Director of Planning Services and Chief Planning Official for the Regional Municipality of Halton (Halton Region, 1151 Bronte Road, Oakville, ON L6M 3L1) is the approval authority to which this proposed official plan amendment will be submitted for approval.
The Purpose and effect of Official Plan Amendment 41 is to modify the text and schedules of the Livable Oakville Plan pertaining to the Bronte GO Major Transit Station Area (MTSA) to implement the findings of the Bronte GO MTSA Study, undertaken as part of the town’s Official Plan Review, and to be consistent with the Provincial Policy Statement, conform or not conflict with applicable Provincial Plans, the Region of Halton Official Plan and the Livable Oakville Plan, and have regard for matters of provincial interest.

The Bronte GO MTSA comprises a land area of approximately 146 hectares around the Bronte GO Station. The subject lands are generally bound by the QEW to the north, 14 Mile Creek to the east, the established residential area to the south, and Westgate Road and the Employment Area to the west.
Any person or public body will be entitled to receive notice of the decision of the approval authority if a written request to be notified of the decision (including the person’s or public body’s address, fax number or email address) is made to the Manager of Planning Policy for the Regional Municipality of Halton at 1151 Bronte Road, Oakville, ON L6M 3L1.
