Mayor proclaims Kin Canada Day in Oakville

In recognition of Oakville Mayor Rob Burton proclaiming Thursday, February 20, 2020 Kin Canada Day in the Town of Oakville, the town will raise the Kin Canada flag at 10 a.m. on that day at Town Hall. The date coincides with Kin Canada’s 100th anniversary.

“Kin Canada has been dedicated to serving our community through programming that meets the needs and challenges of our ever-evolving society for 100 years,” said Mayor Burton, who also declared the week of February 16 to 22, 2020 Kin Canada Week.

Since its founding in Hamilton on February 20, 1920, Kinsmen, Kinette and Kin service clubs have operated throughout Canada. “This is an opportunity to reflect on the rich heritage and accomplishment throughout the 100 years of Kinsmen,” Mayor Burton said.
