As part of the Town of Oakville’s ongoing Official Plan Review, the land use designations and policies that apply to Bronte Village have been updated.
Bronte Village is intended to be revitalized as a mixed use area with a thriving commercial area and a variety of housing options that provide a year-round environment for residents, employees, and visitors.
In December 2017, Council passed By-law 2017-118 to adopt Official Plan Amendment 18 (OPA 18: Bronte Village) to the Livable Oakville Plan. OPA 18 was then approved by Halton Region and it came into effect on June 20, 2018.
