The Prince of Wales Prize
In 2010, the Town of Oakville received the Prince of Wales Prize for municipal heritage leadership from the Heritage Canada Foundation. This prestigious prize was established in 1999 under the patronage of His Majesty King Charles lll, the former Prince of Wales. The prize is awarded each year to a Canadian municipality that demonstrates a strong and sustained commitment to the conservation of its heritage.
