Project description

A proposed six-storey mixed-use building with retail and amenity space at grade and residential units above. 

The project is located at 85 Bronte Road (Land Assembly of 2448 Lakeshore Road West and 77, 87 and 93 Bronte Road) in Oakville. 

A total of 203 units are proposed, with 272 parking spaces provided (34 spaces provided at grade and 238 spaces located within two-levels of underground parking).

Key details

  • Site plan has been granted final approval.
  • Demolition Control Permit has been issued, which includes two phases. Phased demolition will facilitate the retention of an existing sales centre in the end unit, until such a time that full demolition is completed.
  • CMP approved on February 26, 2024, and amended in May 2024, CMP Addendum approved May 2024.
  • Road Permit was issued for lane closure for northbound Bronte Road from Marine Drive to Lakeshore Road West: 
    • Lane closure began on March 8, 2024 in preparation for demolition work (March to May 2024), and will continue for the remainder of 2025. Traffic maintained for southbound direction only on Bronte Road.
    • Traffic detour for northbound Bronte Road is: Marine Drive, Jones Street and Lakeshore Road West.
    • Sidewalk shifted on east side of Bronte Road. Sidewalk on both sides remain open.
    • Developers sent out notice to residents on Bronte Road on February 27, 2024
    • No impact on Lakeshore Road for 2025
  • Staff reviewed the noise exemption permit application for construction work at 85 Bronte Road. In accordance with the noise by-law, and in consideration of public feedback, the noise exemption request has been denied. Notice of the denial was provided to the applicant and residents that provided comment to the application.
