Program cancellations and closures due to heavy snowfall on January 25, 2023

Wednesday, January 25, 2023

Tonight’s performance of Prophecy Fog at the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts is cancelled.

Recreation and culture centres and libraries remain open as scheduled, however if you have booked a space and wish to cancel, you will be refunded.

Trafalgar Park outdoor ice rink is currently closed due to weather conditions and will remain closed for the remainder of the day.

Oakville Transit is experiencing significant delays due to weather conditions. Please plan accordingly and travel safely. For impacted services, use real-time bus tracking or follow Oakville Transit on Twitter.

Our staff are working hard to keep our roads and sidewalks safe. The town begins plowing primary roadways when there is 2.5 centimetres snow accumulation, secondary roads when there is 5 centimetres and residential roads after 7.5 centimetres. Residents can watch our progress through Oakville’s Winter Plow Map, which shows snow clearing progress. Learn more by visiting the snow clearing page.

It is important for residents to try and remove their cars from the roads during snow removal activities to allow our plows to clear roads efficiently.
